Hi, fellow Sabrina fans. I'd like to tell you how I met this sweet phenomenon named Sabrina.
YouTube has all kinds of interesting videos and for two years I cruised around sampling a wide variety of offerings. Among them I stopped now and then to hear some new singer. There were a few really entertaining people out there as well as remarkably pure tween operatic stars. Some had amazing voices but sterile personalities. I had some interest in a couple of people but nothing that really hit home with me.
It was perhaps last October when I saw this avatar of a pretty face out in the woods and the caption said she could sing in French. Yeah, right. So I'll give this cute little girl a chance. After recovering from being absolutely stunned by her voice and presentation, I opened another and another video. And I left little compliments.
Shortly, I came across "It Can Only Get Better." The song is really about the bitter-sweet feelings of losing a guy. But I had not long before almost lost my beloved wife to a terrible disease. It was tough getting back on our feet once she recovered after a year of treatment. Seeing this confident, strong, gently smiling young girl reassuring that it can only get better really struck a heart-string. It could apply, and I felt a trickle in my eye.
Since then I have watched and appreciated all of Sabrina's work. It is prodigious and significant for one so young. I really have no idea how she does it all or how her family keeps up with her! Oh, yeah, and then there are the two older talented beauties! Really, how do they do it?!
Sabrina is unique and exceptional for a number of reasons. She is a great technical singer but she also sings with incredible emotion and intensity; she really connects with her audience. She is able to sing with great passion and feeling about topics she has not yet experienced. Her "Almost Lover" is way too old for her experience, yet I believe no one could sing it with such haunting, almost painful, intensity. She has eyes that dance with happiness or could stare down a cobra. Sabrina has a magnetic personality; she is the complete package. Oh, and then she is cute as a button and has hair to die for. Then comes the rest of why I like her so much. Her family is solid, supportive, ideal, and seems to have the right attitude about their children and life in general. I really admire and appreciate what I know of them.
Sabrina and her family knows that she can do whatever she puts her mind to. I like that. And Didier calls her "exquisite." I like that, too. Sabrina is a real delight.
So, as always, best to you, Sabrina!
Gary

Sabrina is a real delight. So, as always, best to you, Sabrina! Gary Gary, I had a similar encounter with Sabrina as you and our experiences are very similar. It was clear from the first video I saw, which included her two very talented sisters, that Sabrina had that something extra. I was certainly hooked but then you know what happened? It was like Sabrina kicked it into overdrive. She did the "Beat It" video, a collaboration which is not all that easy to do, and then floored me with "Black Velvet". It was like watching a young bird finally getting its wings and soaring to the sky. But it showed, too, that not only was Sabrina very talented, she was building on that talent and able to tackle so many different types of song. I still go back to "Black Velvet" now and then because somehow it is an important divide between two phases in Sabrina's growth. Her family is to be commended for supporting her in this. Her Dad, David, films and puts the videos together and he's done an excellent, professional job. And still the hits keep on coming ... one after the other and like you said Sabrina is not only one of the most talented entertainers I've ever seen she is also one of the most prolific. What an incredible creative and energy level Sabrina possesses. But it's not just singing ... Sabrina owns the stage and given a few short moments comes to own the audience's eyes, ears and heart.
