Hello, I just found out about Sabrina's talent (I was looking up Picture to Burn) and I simply think she is WONDERFUL!!!! She's pretty, adorable, and a wonderful singer!! I have a few songs I think she will excel in and I would love for her to sing. "La Tortura" - Shakira (this is a duet) "Broken Hearted Girl" - Beyonce "Gypsy" - Shakira"Wherever Whenever" - Shakira "Dreaming of You" - Selena "I could fall in love" - Selena "Mientes" - Camila "Tear drops on my guitar" - Taylor Swift "Cater to you" - Destiney's Child "You belong with me" - Taylor Swift "Tu Amor" - RBD I know its a lot of songs but I know she can sing them beautifully. This can give her a taste on other styles of singing (Shakira and Selena) I would love to hear her sing the Shakira and Selena songs the most. And any translating I would gladly do! Okay one down!! ;D ;D

I think she should do a tribute to Selena Quintilla.
Sabrina, I'm going to tell you a little about Selena. Selena was a Mexican-American woman who started singing at around the age of 9 because her father kind of forced her and her siblings to do so. They were called "Selena y Los Dinos". Soon she started become famous around Texas (her home state) and in Mexican.
By the time she was in her 20s she had a fan clubs and a botique of her own clothes because she wanted everyone to dress like her. She was too nice to everyone.
In 1995, she was 22 years old when her Fan Club President killed her after she was discovered stealing money from Selena's fan club members. Selena had went to confront her at a Motel where Yolanda (the fan club president) shot her. Freaking out, Selena had ran from the room to the lobby. At the hospital she was pronounced dead from blood loss and cardiac arrest.
She was a really wonderful woman and loved by everyone. You should really look her up and do some more research. If you really like her, I think she (and her fans) would LOVE LOVE LOVE for you to do a tribute to her.
Her two most famous English songs are "Dreaming of You" (I told you this one before) and "I Could Fall in Love" which based on your style of singing, you might like.
"Bidi Bidi Bom Bom" is everyone's famous because it's a really fun song. Only problem is that it's in Spanish. I hope you like her and you might find some similarities between you and Selena.

Hi, Sabrina! First of all, all the best for your 13th birthday! From the few things I know, it seems like it's gonna be a very exciting year for you, which, of course, you deserve. Oh, and great job with "Safe and Sound", you did a truly amazing job there. Anyway, I don't know if you are still interested in song suggestions, but I thought that, if you are, it would be nice to make some as a small birthday present. The suggestions I have for you, may not be the greatest hits today (actually, all of the songs are older than you, lol), but I actually chose them so you have some serious challenge, because you've done such great things that I am not afraid to suggest songs that are hard, and I hope you can find some fun in the challenges they represent. But, of course, it's up to you, if you don't like them, it's fine. The first song may be one of the vocally most dificult pop songs ever (it has quite a wide range and some large intervals). I am talking about Wuthering Heights, a song obviously inspired by the book. The original is by Kate Bush, and it has a crazy shrill intonation (typical of her), and many people prefer the much smoother cover by my favorite singer, Hayley Westenra. I enjoy both, so I am gonna show you both versions. Here's Hayley's cover, she was about 15-16 on the recording: And here's Kate Bush's original (she is so funny on the video): My next suggestion is a weird one, but it came to my mind after reading your description on your video of your cover of Gypsy. I saw you singing in quite a few different languages, and I must say you've done a very good job. And, well, you seemed interested in how Shakira's Gypsy reflected the spirit of gypsy people, and I thought, what if I show you a true gypsy song. Ederlezi is a beautiful traditional song of the roma people, a subgroup of the gypsies from the balkans. Although it has translations to many languages of the area, the original lyrics are in Romani, the language of the gypsies. It isn't a well-known language, but listening to the song and reading the lyrics here, I am quite sure you can get the right pronunciation quite easily, but if not, you could sing it without lyrics, doing some vocalese, and I am sure it will sound beautiful. I've known this song for a long time, in the arrangement of Goran Bregović. There's a truly haunting recording of that song by Bregović for a movie, but I can't find it on Youtube, so I'll show you another recording, also by Bregović. However, if you like it, I can send you that other recording through e-mail or you can buy it here. While Bregović's versions are spectacular and haunting, I recently found another version, an instrumental one, by an English violinist Nigel Kennedy and the Polish band Kroke, and I totally fell in love: it's incredibly gentle and sweet, the violin has so much emotion it makes me cry. I am showing you both versions, and I wonder what you decide to do, if you decide to sing this song. Goran Bregovic's "standard" recording of the song (but the one from the movie is so much better, I really recommend you listen to it, and if you want, I can send it to you). The instrumental version by Nigel Kennedy and the Kroke band: My last suggestion today, may not be such a challenge vocally, but it's a beatiful rock ballad, and for personal reasons (something that happened to me and that I felt the song expressed so perfectly), it is very special to me, and I would really love hear what you can do with it. It's "Right Here Waiting", by Richard Marx: Well, that's all for today, I hope I wasn't too boring, lol... If you like my suggestions, I can think of many more. Happy birthday, Sabrina. Michał
